Julie’s style of teaching is incredibly Positive. She recognises and celebrates the good points of every student's work, and develops paths for each individual to improve. Every student is different, and therefore every painting is different too. Your experience will be positive, uplifting and rewarding.
Enthusiastic inspiring instruction and encouragement. No gimmicks, no quick fixes - simply the Real Thing. Students are of mixed ability, classes are small and fully tutored. I provide the subject matter each week, and students bring their own materials. The atmosphere is warm and friendly - a delicious mix of intense and fun! An art fix.
A weekly class is a great way to progress your skills and incorporate a regular artistic en- deavor into your life. Sessions last two and a half hours in which you will learn to observe in a new way, to draw what you see and really improve your painting skills. You have the choice of attending for a morning or evening session. Most sessions are in the studio, but we go out to draw on location once in the term, which is good fun. Previously we have drawn in Belfast City Hall, The Mac, The Ulster Museum and Folk Museum (which also happen to have good coffee shops for break time!)
